The October 2009 IPHDA Championship judges will be:
Todd Sommers of Texas, USA
Jim McCutcheon of Texas, USA
Warwick Schiller of New South Wales, Australia
To qualify for the Primary division finals:
- Exhibitors must enter a minimum of 4 V shows in October 2009 V show series.
- ie: a rider may show more than one horse to qualify but can only show one horse in the finals for every 4 entries.
- 4 of the V shows entered in the series must be in the Primary division
Primary division finals rules:
- Each horse rider/ team showing in the finals will ride in the highest level they passed or lowest level showed in (if no passing score was achieved) in the series
- example a person receives a passing score in 1-2-3 and 4 they would enter the finals in level 4
The finals video tapes must be a new entry, i.e. the finals video can not be of a ride previously entered in a V show.
- Finals entry fee will be $30
- Finals Jack pot fee will be $45
- The finals will be judged by 3 judges, the total of all 3 judges scores will be used to place the classes .
To qualify for the secondary division finals
- Horse and rider teams must enter at least 4 V shows
secondary division finals rules:
- Exhibitors may enter any level and category they qualify for
- The finals will be run with the category handicap system
- i.e. Category A riders have 2 points added to their score. Cat B riders have 1 point added to their score and Cat. C riders have 0 points added to their score.
- The finals video tapes must be a new entry, i.e. the finals video can not be of a ride previously entered in a V show.
- Finals entry fee will be $30
- Finals Jack pot fee will be $45
- The finals will be judged by 3 judges, the total of all 3 judges scores will be used to place the classes
IPHDA reserves the right to change or modify these rules as they see fit, if for any reason they feel the spirit of fair play is not met.
October 2009 Series Finals Awards
$1 from each level Jack pot fee throughout the series will be added to that levels finals purse.
Marisita Saddlery Trophy Saddle
- The winners of each level at the Finals will be placed in a draw, the winner of the draw will win the saddle, the level they won will be engraved on the saddle.
- To win the saddle you must
- Show in 4 V shows during 2009 see finals qualifying rules
- Win your level at the Finals
- Have your name drawn in a draw of the 8 level winnners
IPHDA will award prizes to this series Championships based on participation during the series
- Under 200 V entries in the series, Personalized IPHDA merchandise valued at $25 will be awarded to each level winner
- 200- 400 V entries in the series, Personalized IPHDA merchandise valued at $50 will be awarded to each level winner and $25 of Personalized IPHDA merchandise to reserve
- 400 - 800 V entries in the series, Personalized IPHDA merchandise valued at $100 will be awarded to each level winner $50 of Personalized IPHDA merchandise will be awarded to each level reserve winner and $25 of Personalized IPHDA merchandise to third
IPHDA will split sponsored awards and cash between V show draws and the finals as close as possible to 60% to V show draws and 40% to the finals
Series High Point Buckles *1

This is the buckle that was ordered,
the engraving was photo shopped to show what it will say! So it may not be exact
The design was changed from the last years buckle to accommodate the extra script!
Primary Division

The Rider must enter at least 4 V shows in the regular category
- Their top 4 scores will be used to calculate their high point score
- The high and low score of those 4 scores will be dropped and the 2 middle scores will be added together for their high point series score.
- The percent of total score system will be used to calculate the final score. (see the rules for advanced rider class placing)

The highest year end score will win the buckle
Advanced rider Category

*Note 1: There must be at least 35 entries during the year in the division or category for the buckles to be awarded.
ANY MEMBER WINNING AWARDS MUST SUPPLY IPHDA WITH A PICTURE OF THEM WITH THEIR AWARD
- Not doing so in a timely manner will result in the member not receiving any more awards until the picture is received.
